The AmwayTM Diamond Challenge

(Some visitors to this site have expressed doubt that I actually have the guts to post anything "negative" about Amway. Read the following and decide for yourself. --Webmaster)

Nice website. I guess we will see if you post "uncensored" comments. My name is Dave Roberts, and I was a fully qualified Emerald 1992 to 1998 in the Yager, Wilson, Haugen, Sims, Robbins, Walker line of sponsor ship. I am also a plaintiff (along with 30 other Emeralds, Diamonds, & Directs) in the $200 million lawsuit vs. Amway, Yager, Wilson, Haugen, & others.

Obviously, my story, and how I became involved with this lawsuit is a long one, so I will be brief about the topics discussed in your site. I begin with these comments and questions:

The major problem with Amway and it's distributors is the motivational tool business. Although many changes have taken place (especially since our lawsuit), Amway and it's leadership are trying to lead people to believe the changes are geared toward full disclosure. Actually, the changes made were to isolate upline and Amway from lawsuits with the BSMAA arbitration agreement and not with the core problem of the manipulation, greed, and control that Amway allows to exist with the Yager organizations and others.

Changing the name of a distributor to an "IBO"? They think changing the name makes you an independent business person. Try making "independent" business decisions about your distributorship and see what happens!

Amway can change your contract at will, and has done so many times. I have experienced this firsthand. Yager and others claim all the lawsuits are "sour grapes" & "jealousy". Have you actually read them? Yager and others use very loose charismatic form of "Christianity" to expertly achieve their objectives.

Amway does not have the guts to follow through with Rich DeVos' proposal to take over the tool business as he talks about on his 1983 "Directly Speaking" tapes. He chickened out when he was worried about the same thing happening to Amway that him and Jay pulled off with Nutrilite. He sold out to the pressure extolled by Yager and others.

If you have not read the text or listened to the tapes, they are available all over the net.

Amway is smart. Over the last 10 years they have aligned themselves politically with huge donations and with large speaking honorariums to key Republican figures such as Reagan, Bush, Dole, Gingrich, & others. They are very powerful, and have lot's of influence. Especially at $100,000 per speech, which is what they have paid some of these people.

Amway is profiting from an apparent illegal pyramid scheme. The tool businesses will eventually be proven to be illegal (in my opinion, and with my help). Many state attorney generals are becoming educated on the fact that two businesses exist within the Amway structure, and one is inherently illegal as it does not conform to FTC guidelines. There are NO RETAIL SALES of tools, because distributors are the only ones who could even stand to listen to Dex or Don Wilson.

I could go on & on. For more info, check my website at http://www.ask-an-emerald.com or search for "Amway: The Untold Story" with any search engine.
